We've decked the Halls, and celebrated Sweet Treats-and now it's time to celebrate Santa and his helpers. For this themed Week I have gathered activities related to Santa, Reindeer and Elves. I've Scoured the Web to find inspiration so you don't have to! Please be sure to click on the photos to be re-directed to the original Sources to see more information or directions!

Arts & Crafts
I love using items from nature to create craft projects.
Check out these adorable Reindeer Pinecones from Getting Messy with Ms. Jessi.
This hand and foot reindeer by Busy Bee Kids Crafts makes a great gift!
Kids (and parents) love personalized crafts. They make great gifts during the Holiday's. I thought these personalized elves from Ramblings of a Crazy Woman were so fun (and hilarious!).
I have fond memories of creating a paper plate Santa when I was younger.
Create lasting memories with tutorial from Preschool Crafts for Kids.
Be sure to add a variety of Santa and His Helpers cookie cutters to your open ended art space this week. For some added Holiday fun-check out this Reindeer play dough invitation from Kids Craft Room.

Your Dramatic Play Space can be transformed into "Santa's Workshop" This week.
Your Kids will have fun building toys. You can add wooden blocks, play tools, and Paint Brushes.
Don't forget a place for Santa. A comfy chair, and a place for him to write his list.
This adorable dramatic play space below belongs to Daycare Spaces and Ideas Community Member Debbie Mays of Siloam Preschool.
Daycare Spaces and Ideas Community Member Sherry Whissen of First Friends Family Child Care created "Santa's Mail Room" in her Dramatic Play Space.
You can also add a gift wrapping station to your space this week. Include: Gift Boxes, Tissue Paper, Bows, Wrapping Paper, tape and Small toys to wrap.
For Dress Up fun: Add Santa Hats, Elf Hats, and Reindeer antlers to your space this week (or the kids can make their own). Scout thrift stores for Santa, Elf and Reindeer Costumes.
Daycare Spaces Member Sherry Whissen ofFirst Friends Family Child Care has created this adorable Holiday Dress Up area in her Dramatic Play Area.
If you feeling up to a DIY Challenge, create a Sleigh from a cardboard box (or decorate a Children's sled). Children can take turns loading it up with presents, and pulling it.
Construction Space Ideas
Add Santa and his helpers to your Construction Space. Add "Snow" felt, and Evergreen trees to your space, so that the children can re-create the North Pole.
Some of my favorite items to add to the construction space are these Reindeer from Safari Ltd, and these playsets from Playmobil.
If you are looking for a new toy to add to your space this week: Consider this Melissa and Doug Magnetic Dress-Up Santa.
He comes with 21 pieces of clothing for a variety of occasions. He'd also make a great addition to the Book "Santa Retires" by David Biedrzycki.
He's easy to assemble and helps teach independent play, hand eye coordination, and matching skills.
Incorporate Math into your week with this adorable Reindeer Play Dough game from Pre-K Pages.
Add some sensory fun with this Santa Slime from Growing a Jeweled Rose
Consider adding some "small world play" into your space such as this this Santa's Workshop from
My Nearest and Dearest
Roll a Reindeer Printable Activity from 733 Blog
Christmas Play Dough Printable Mats from Picklebums
Santa's Workshop Printable from Peonies and Poppyseeds
