Having a Dental Health Theme allows children to learn more about taking care of themselves, and it also helps alleviate some Children's fears around trips to the Dentist.
Be sure to check with your local Dentist, sometimes they can arrange for you to visit with your group, or give you free resources and "Goody Bags" for the children in your care.

Paint with a Toothbrush activity from Scrumdilly-do
Fingerpaint Tooth Painting- Daycare Spaces and Ideas Community Member Monica V. of Monica's Monsters had her kids paint the yellowed Teeth white using finger paints. She also suggested having the older children use a paintbrush for this activity. Tic-Tac Teeth: For this project the kids at Monica's Monsters pressed tic-tacs into toothpaste (You could add a few drops of red food coloring or liquid water color to change the color of the paste). She noted this project takes a few days to dry. After it was dry, she used it as a model to show good flossing, and brushing techniques. (*Note she originally used Denture Cream in this photo, but it didn't harden) Spongepaint Teeth Art Activity featured on Juxtapost Smile Craft from Totally Tots Healthy Teeth Collage from Family Theme Days Dramatic Play
