There are so many great Daycare supplies out there,
I thought I would share with you some of my favorites (In no particular order).
Closetmaid 6-Cube Laminate Organizer

I love the versatility of these cubbies. They can be used in your entry way for shoes and bags, or they can be used for storage inside of a closet. They make an excellent choice for your free art center. You can add drawers to store paper.
Although Closetmaid makes fabric bins, you can also add your own baskets or plastic bins to store groups of toys (Manipulatives, blocks etc).
They can be placed in all of your "centers" for Toy storage, and their low height makes them perfect for children to access toys. Many of the larger cubicle shelving can be dangerous for little one's because they are pulling down toys that are above their heads. On their side these cubbies are only 2 feet tall, The flat top surface allows you to display items at the childs' height as well. They are lightweight and can be moved around easily to create new "centers".
You can see here (in the lower left corner) I have used these cubbies in my Library center to display theme related books, puzzles and Felt Stories. They allow you to place one Toy per "cubby" which eliminates visual stimulation/clutter and provides a "home" for the toys to return to.
The Daily Plan Book for Preschool
I have written about my love of this planner before. If you are interested in dividing your weeks into "Themes", this plan book published by "Teacher's Friend Publications" is my absolute favorite. Not only does it provide large spaces for you to enter your planned daily activities, it also has a corresponding Weekly Activity/Interest Centers page to note the activities/changes you will be making in your various "learning centers".
Another must have is a Sensory Table/Bin. You can create so many unique learning opportunities with this table. These tables aren't limited to just Sand and Water (you can find some (sensory table ideas here). Many provider's create their own using a clear bin placed on a low table. Whether you make one or purchase one I recommend a lid.
A Train Table is another wonderful multipurpose item for your daycare. In addition to Trains, and Cars it also provides a great surface for fine motor activities. This becomes a great space to work on puzzles, or other construction toys. Some of the kids favorite Train Tabletop activities were playing with the dollhouse or the Farm on the table so their activity could remain out even when the floor needed to be cleared. A DIY option is a low coffee table, or a Children's table with the legs cut down.
The Dramatic Play space was the busiest in my home daycare. This space is ever changing: from a Playhouse, to a Restaurant this space can transform into a wonderful new creative space on a weekly basis. There are a lot of different types of Play Kitchens on the market. Since this area sees a lot of use, make sure you select one that can stand the test of time. Another nice option is making sure there is some built in storage for pretend food and pots and pans. For the provider who prefers to build their own, you can find several DIY play kitchens on pinterest. Don't forget about outdoor play, Kids love having a play kitchen outside too!
